Cookie Dough
- All-purpose flour - 2 cups
- Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
- Softened unsalted butter - 1 cup
- 1 large egg
- Sugar powdered - 1/2 cup
- Cornstarch - 1/4 cup
- Pinch of salt
Peaceful Filling
- Dried chamomile flowers - 1/2 cup
- Honey -- 1/4 cup
Step 1: First start by preheating your oven to 350°F. Then in a medium mixing bowl, mix together the granulated sugar and softened butter until light and fluffy. Now add the egg and vanilla extract, and continue to mix these until well combined.
Step 2: Now in a separate medium bowl whisk together the baking powder, flour, and a pinch of salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, until a soft dough forms.
Step 3: Take small portions of the dough and create a balls. Place these balls on a baking sheet and ensuring they are evenly spaced.
Step 4: Now in a medium saucepan, gently heat honey. Remove from heat and mix in dried chamomile flowers. Allow the mixture to infuse for 10 minutes and strain out the chamomile, leaving a fragrant honey.
Step 5: Fill the wells in your cookies with this soothing chamomile-infused honey. Bake in the preheated oven until the edges turn golden brown.
Step 6: Once out of the oven let the cookies cool for a few minutes before dusting them with a sprinkle of powdered sugar.
